The Watertown, New York, Evening Rotary Club was chartered April 30, 2010.
Already our club has planned, participated, launched and supported several service projects in the community. Some of these projects include but are not limited to; the launching of South Jefferson Backpack food program, new books for children in the Watertown City School District as well as support for the start of Starbuck Elementary Backpack food program, financial donations to the Watertown Urban Mission, Loved Twice, the SoZo Teen Center of the Children's Home of Jefferson County, and Lucy's House. Watertown Evening Rotary also performs highway clean-ups along state Route 232 in participation of the Adopt-A-Highway program. The club also hosts an annual fundraiser in the form of a Pancake Breakfast and participates in the famous Rotary Rose Day Sale.
Keeping with the Rotarian mission that is "Service Above Self," Watertown Evening Rotary supports international projects. Recently, Watertown Evening Rotary provided educational tuition for a child in Mexico to continue with their secondary school studies.
Currently, the club is compromised of 15 members from all different professional fields. We are always looking to expand our membership so if you are interested please feel to attend a meeting, as they are always open to the public, or contact us HERE.
Although we are a group of professionals who work hard to make a difference, we do enjoy the occasional wind-down in the form of dinners, picnics, and trips to other Rotary clubs within District 7040. If you seek opportunities for service and enjoy fellowship with fellow business people and professionals, then consider joining Watertown Evening Rotary. We hope to see you soon!
